3B Survey was engaged by Vermilion in 2016 to provide dimensional control surveying and laser scanning services for various fabric maintenance and operations works on the Wandoo B and Wandoo A platforms.
The wide range of survey activities covered over the years include an extensive number of pipework spools replaced, structural upgrades such as new well installations, and an extensive laser scanning campaign for digital twin production.
The maintenance process of replacing or upgrading the pipework offshore saw 3B involved in data capture, drawing validation and onshore post-fabrication dimensional survey to confirm that the as-built model agrees with the design drawings prior to being shipped offshore for installation.
